Firmware changelog

Every build we have ever published, newest first. Nothing is removed from this list when a version is superseded — see the download pages for AquaJet and DuraPress files themselves.

Two upgrades need an intermediate step: AquaJet units on firmware older than 1.19.03 must install 1.19.03 before 1.22.14 or later; DuraPress units on V54.x or earlier must install V58.21 before V60.08. Jumping directly fails the signature check and the update is rejected, not partially applied.

AquaJet

1.24.072026-09-02 · current

Scan-to-email credential is now re-validated on save, instead of only on first use, catching a wrong password before the first scan job fails.
Fixed a case where AJ-6250DW would report "offline" to Windows after the printer renewed its DHCP lease with a new IP, while print and scan both still worked locally.
Ink-level estimate on AJ-4120 now accounts for the cleaning cycle run after a long idle period, instead of only print volume.

1.22.142025-11-20

Added support for WPA3-Personal on AJ-4120W and AJ-6250DW; WPA2 remains supported.
Fixed duplex printing on AJ-6250 occasionally leaving the second side blank on heavier paper stock (120–160 gsm).
Fax transmission log now keeps 200 entries instead of 50.

Added scan-to-network-folder (SMB) in addition to scan-to-email and scan-to-USB.
Reduced first-page-out time on plain paper by roughly 0.4 seconds.

1.19.032025-02-04 · required intermediate step

Migrated the firmware signing scheme; this is the last build older units can install before moving to the current scheme used from 1.22.14 onward.
Fixed a rare paper-jam-not-cleared state on AJ-4120 after clearing a jam from the rear access panel rather than the top cover.

1.15.002024-05-27 · AJ-4120 (pre-W hardware) final build

Last firmware issued for the pre-W hardware revision of AJ-4120; later revisions continue to receive updates under the 1.1x/1.2x line.
Corrected colour cast on photo paper prints at the highest quality setting.

DuraPress

V60.082026-08-21 · current on DX-3180 and DX-7700

DX-7700: fixed a finisher jam on the first job after the unit had been idle overnight; the finisher now runs a short self-check on wake instead of only at power-on.
Secure release printing: PIN retry limit is now configurable per user group, not only globally.
DX-3180: fixed Wi-Fi reconnection taking over two minutes after a router reboot.

V58.212025-12-03 · current on DX-5400

Fixed duplex scanning on DX-5400’s ADF occasionally dropping the last page of a long document.
Added DHCP-reservation reminder on the network status page after repeated IP changes, addressing the most common cause of "drops off the network" reports.
Drum-life estimate now accounts for coverage per page, not only page count.

V56.042025-05-08 · DX-7700 only

Added user authentication against an external directory (LDAP), in addition to the existing local user list.
Fixed colour registration drift after a long print run on heavier media.

V55.092025-03-27 · DX-5400 only

Fixed fax transmission failing silently when the line had call waiting enabled.
Toner-low threshold adjusted to better match refilled cartridges reporting a flat 40%.

V54.022024-09-18 · required intermediate step, DX-3180 pre-W hardware final build

Migrated the firmware signing scheme; units on V54.x or earlier must install this build, or V58.21 directly if already current, before moving to V60.x.
Last firmware issued for the pre-W hardware revision of DX-3180.

V52.112024-10-22 · DX-7700 only

Added support for the 500-sheet second paper tray as a field-installable option.
Fixed a memory leak in the web management console that required a weekly reboot on busy workgroups.

Initial public firmware line for DX-5400 / DX-5400DN following the hardware refresh.
